With a menu built on cast iron and a space dedicated to everyone who walks through the door, Matthew and Jovan know what they’ve created in The Farmer & The Larder is special. Now it’s up to them to continue to foster both, because a welcoming sense of community, like a well-seasoned skillet, can be indestructible, if given the proper attention. “We have all of these cast iron pieces because of the history of people taking care of them,” Matthew says. “And that’s an important legacy we need to continue.”
