Salted Caramel Pecan Popcorn


Smoked salt adds extra flavor to this popcorn.

Salted Caramel Pecan Popcorn
Makes about 12 cups
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter
  • 1½ cups pecan halves
  • 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • Dutch Oven Popcorn
  1. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large Dutch oven, melt butter over medium heat. Add pecans and brown sugar; bring to a boil, and cook for 3 minutes. Stir in salt and baking soda until combined. Remove from heat; gently stir in Dutch Oven Popcorn until coated. Spread in an even layer on prepared pan. Let cool for 15 minutes.
