Smoked salt adds extra flavor to this popcorn.
Salted Caramel Pecan Popcorn
Makes about 12 cups
- ¾ cup unsalted butter
- 1½ cups pecan halves
- 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon smoked salt
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- Dutch Oven Popcorn
- Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large Dutch oven, melt butter over medium heat. Add pecans and brown sugar; bring to a boil, and cook for 3 minutes. Stir in salt and baking soda until combined. Remove from heat; gently stir in Dutch Oven Popcorn until coated. Spread in an even layer on prepared pan. Let cool for 15 minutes.
