Smoked Brisket Pizza
 
Ingredients
  • 8-INCH
  • Basic Pizza Dough
  • ¼ cup barbecue sauce
  • ⅔ cup shredded Colby-Jack cheese blend
  • ¾ cup chopped smoked brisket
  • Coleslaw and pickles, to serve
  • 10-INCH

  • ½ cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup shredded Colby-Jack cheese blend
  • 1½ cups chopped smoked brisket
  • Coleslaw and pickles, to serve
  • 12-INCH
  • Basic Pizza Dough
  • ¾ cup barbecue sauce
  • 1⅓ cups shredded Colby-Jack cheese blend
  • 2¼ cups chopped smoked brisket
  • Coleslaw and pickles, to serve
  • 14-INCH
  • Basic Pizza Dough
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1⅔ cups shredded Colby-Jack cheese blend
  • 3 cups chopped smoked brisket
  • Coleslaw and pickles, to serve
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 475°.
  2. Lightly dust an 8-, 10-, 12-, or 14-inch cast-iron skillet or baking pan with flour. Using floured hands, gently stretch Basic Pizza Dough to cover bottom and press ½ inch up sides of prepared skillet or to edges of prepared pan. Cover and letstand for 10 minutes. Uncover crust.
  3. Bake for 5 minutes.
  4. Spread barbecue sauce onto crust, leaving a ½-inch border. Sprinkle with half of cheese; top with brisket.
  5. Bake until crust is lightly browned, about 12 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake until cheese is melted, about 5 minutes more. Top with coleslaw and pickles. Serve immediately.
Notes
KITCHEN TIP: This pizza would also be delicious with pulled pork in place of brisket.
