With amateur and professional divisions, teams are invited to preregister in their choice of four categories and prepare original dishes on-site in cast iron for judging. A panel of food-loving judges from across the South will select the top three dishes for each category – Meat & Game, Seafood, Sweet & Savory Baking, and Vegetables & Sides.

The top three dishes will be named for each category. Half of each prize will be awarded in cash. One overall first place winner will be named for the professional division. Winners will be featured online and in print through Southern Cast Iron magazine.
